About Cantor David Guber

Born in South Africa Cantor David Guber proudly continues his family's heritage of three generations of Chazzanim. His father is the great Cantor Shlomo Guber and his Grandfather, Cantor Avraham Guber, was the chief chazzan in Russia

After being released from the IDF where Cantor David Guber served as a combat fighter in the paratroopers, he studied with his father and Professor Leonid Sabat the art of chazzanut, voice production, nussach and music.

Cantor Guber started his career in 2000, officiating High Holiday services all across the world

In 2018 Cantor Guber settled down in Toronto, Canada with his wife and children

He has led services at a variety of orthodox and modern orthodox synagogues in the city, including, but not limited to: Ohr Sameach, Chabad, and Shaarei Shomayim etc.

He also provides private services, where he leads different life cycle events (e.g., weddings, bar mitzvah's, baby naming's, etc.) alone or in conjunction with a Rabbi

Weddings

Walk down the aisle to your customized version of Boi Kala, followed by the singing of Baruch Haba and Mi Adir; a Hebrew greeting which includes a request of God's blessing for the new couple. Be enlightened by a moving rendition of the seven blessings, following the reading of the ketubah. Your ceremony will be concluded with the singing of Imeskacheich Yerushalayim (If I forget thee oh Jerusalem).
